Past Success Stories

Brandi's Story

Brandi came to the Journey Group with a project idea of turning recycled material into art projects for kids. During the course, she came up with the idea to create art kits made with recycled materials, and to sell them at a local restaurant. She sold all of the kits she made, and is continuing to build a business around this idea for kids and families in her town of Iowa, USA.  She is currently building and scaling her business to become a profitable endeavor.

Ramez's Story

Ramez created a project during the course to lend money to entrepreneurs leading sustainable endeavors. At first he had trouble finding a site without hidden fees. With persistence, he found Zidisha and began lending.

Collective Recycling Projects

Kristina, from the UK had the project idea to start recycling more. Along her journey, she was stuck because there wasn’t a bin in her apartment building to put her recycled items. After group discussion and ideas in the Journey Group, Kristina and her husband provided a bin for the apartment building to put recycling, and another journey group participant created a recycling sign that Kristina posted in the bin area of their apartment building.
